When we went to Rosewell, we saw the ruins of what would be considered a great house. Referencing Issacs chapter four: Church and Home, we can see that the size of your house denotes your status. The legacy of these "Great Houses" are today's mega mansions taking up space in places like Great Falls,Virginia and lining 98th Street in Bellevue, Washington, a suburb of Seattle.
